Canyon Black & White is a set of two sculptural coffee cups in contrasting black and white. Their organic, asymmetric form was inspired by the remarkable structures of Antelope Canyon in Arizona – which is why the cups change character depending on the angle you view them from.

The design was created in the Kyuka Design studio. The first sketches were translated into a 3D model and a prototype, which was then used to make traditional plaster moulds. Each cup is then hand-cast, finished, sanded and fired at 1240°C. It is a meeting of contemporary design and traditional ceramic craftsmanship.

Two cups, two materials, one design

The white cup is made from noble Parian porcelain, prized for its subtle satin surface and exceptionally elegant character. The dark version creates a graphic contrast with it, emphasising the irregular, sculptural line of the Canyon collection.

With a capacity of 170 ml, the cups are ideal for lungo, coffee from your espresso machine, pour-over and tea. With no conventional handle, you can wrap your hands around the cup – turning your everyday coffee into a small ritual.
