How to burn candles?

How to burn candles so they last as long as possible?

"Candles in ceramic with a beech wick are not only a beautiful addition to interiors but also a unique ritual. Here are some tips on how to enjoy them for as long as possible, keeping the wax clean and the aromas full."

1. First smoking – the key to success

During the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly to the edge of the container. This prevents so-called "tunneling" and ensures long usage.

2. Take care of the wick

Before each burn, trim the beech wick to about 0.5 cm. This ensures even burning and minimizes excess smoke.

3. He answered appropriately long.

"Do not extinguish the candle after a few minutes. Burn it for a minimum of 2–3 hours to ensure the wax melts evenly. This way, you will avoid wax residue on the walls, known as tunneling."

4. Set the candle in the appropriate place.

Avoid drafts and heat sources, such as radiators or direct sunlight. A stable temperature prevents uneven burning.

5. Clean wax

"If there are impurities on the surface of the wax, gently remove them before the next burning. This will ensure that the aromas are cleaner."

6. Put out smokelessly

"To extinguish the candle, use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame. This minimizes smoke and ensures readiness for the next use."

7. Ceramic recycling

After burning the candle, you can give the ceramic vessel a second life – it will be perfect as a small vase, a container for jewelry, or other small items.

Taking care of candles with a beech wick is not only about prolonging their life but also a way to fully immerse oneself in the atmosphere they create. It is worth remembering these simple rules to enjoy the warm light and soothing aromas of soy wax for a long time.
